White Mulberries is an excellent cafe located near the Tower of London overlooking St Katherine Docks. It is run by Rana & Peyman, a lovely couple who inject their warm ethos into every facet of this coffee shop.
While I was struggling to decide whether to go for a walnut & cappuccino cake or an almond croissant, I was greeted with a huge smile from Peyman. Any visitor to White Mulberries will notice how well designed the cafe is. Rana & Peyman have successfully used the space to create a bright, comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
I decided to go for the cake to accompany my flat white. They source beans from Allpress, a roastery & cafe off Shoreditch High Street. The combination of the flat white, the cake and the beautiful view overlooking the dock really hit the spot. Having opened only a few months ago I wasn’t sure what to expect but the coffee was very good.
Rana informed me that they will soon be introducing a range of guest blends to satisfy the demand of their diverse, burgeoning clientele. Expect great things from White Mulberries Cafe in 2013, the shop has made a great start and the proactive owners seem keen to build upon their early success.
