Prufrock is arguably London’s most well known independent coffee shop, and deservedly so. They certainly know their coffee. The attention paid to the smallest details (missed by most people) makes the world of difference to the cup of coffee you are handed at the counter.
The Head Barista at Prufrock, Gwilym Davies, (UK and World Barista Champion in 2009) allows his passion and expertise to shine though every facet of the shop. The walls are adorned with all sorts of useful and interesting coffee related gear and it’s all put there for a reason.
Coffee lovers are encouraged to come here and learn more about the stuff, as Prufrock offer training sessions on weekends ranging from everything from coffee tasting to latte art.
The friend who I took along with me informed me that Prufrock by T.S Eliot is one of her favourite poems. I don’t know if there is a link between the two, but I do know that this is a pretty special place in its own right. The pruf is in the coffee.
