NEW ROW COFFEE
New Row Coffee is a very popular coffee spot in the area. It is a lot smaller than I expected, but this actually made for a very pleasant experience. The shop has a very friendly vibe to it and I ended up sharing a table with some people that worked in the area. Sharing a table with strangers is a very strange idea to a Londoner. I felt like I was breaking through one of the many London taboos, like talking to strangers on the tube.
I tasted their excellent dark-roasted espresso blend made up for them by Union Hand-Roasted. The baristas were very informative and told me what flavour notes to look out for, which really enhanced my experience. All the food on the counter looked fresh and tasty and I opted for some granola with honey & yogurt, which was delicious.
All in all, a very friendly space offering excellent coffee and a selection of excellent home made food options
PS They make their own almond milk! Be sure to get there before 11am if you want to try it because it goes fast.
