LONDON REVIEW CAKE SHOP
A delight to go to, London Review Cake Shop has been a favourite for London foodies and bookworms since it opened in 2007.
To get to the cake shop you have to enter the main door of the London Review Bookshop and take a left through the history section. This ‘modern literary London coffee-house’ is a paradise for both book and coffee lovers.
Coffee & books is a favourite combination of mine and London Review Cake Shop certainly does both very well. You can enjoy Monmouth Coffee surrounded by an array of books and magazines. While my double espresso was excellent, I couldn’t keep my eyes off the loose leaf green tea to my right. I’ll make sure to try that next time I visit.
The food is all fresh and delicious – I had an amazing gluten free chocolate cake which could just about be the best gluten free cake I have ever had.
PS It’s right next to the British Museum.

Another one next to the British Museum! I sometimes think that area has the highest density of good cafes and cake shops in London!
