NEED A CAFFEINE FIX?
Fix 126 is a great little coffee shop with a very relaxed vibe. I don’t usually accompany my coffee with cake, but at Fix it looked far too appealing to turn down. As with most of my experiences with independent coffee shops in London, I was pleasantly surprised regarding the quality. Perhaps it’s time to change my expectations of these places? Only time will tell.
The coffee they serve is from the Hackney Roastery Climpson & Sons* and it is super. I opted for a macchiato and everything about it was of the highest quality. The coffee was a “126 blend” made especially for the shop. It was smooth and strong, with 50% of the blend coming from beans from Malawi. The combination of this great blend coupled with some organic milk made a pretty eclectic macchiato.
I look around and the place is dotted with people reading the paper and other people tapping away at their macs. It seems to be a coffee shop where people come to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and have a few moments to themselves. Definitely worth a visit.
