DEPARTMENT OF COFFEE AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS, THE OTHER SIDE OF HOLBORN
Department of Coffee and Social Affairs is a shop with an inspiring story behind it which the video above illustrates very well. As the video states, the staff are very friendly and they’re happy to educate you in coffee should you have any questions. I quizzed a nice barista with quite a few coffee 101 questions and she was very accommodating. The place has a lot of room inside and like the staff, the place has a very friendly, chilled out vibe.
The shop is one of three other coffee shops part of the Coffeesmiths Collective, a network of quality coffee shops across central London. I’ll be sure to check out their latest addition on Chancery Lane soon, I’ve been waiting for it to open for a while now!
