CLIMPSON AND SONS CAFE ON BROADWAY MARKET
Climpson and Sons know their coffee. Check out my interview with Danny Davies to learn about the fascinating story behind the Roastery.
The shop is only a 15 minute walk away from the Roastery which ensures that the coffee served at the cafe is extremely fresh. As you can see below, I bought a single origin blend for my V60 and it is excellent. For me this is unsurprising as I’ve actually never had a bad Climpson & Sons coffee to date.
The cafe is smaller than I expected. However the staff are really friendly and therefore nurture a very cosy, welcoming and hospitable environment. The lack in size is very much compensated for by the quality of character. As previously mentioned, the coffee really is excellent. You don’t have to know too much about coffee to taste the difference between the coffee here and the coffee at your regular high street chain.
N.B. It gets really busy on Market day (Saturday) but it’s well worth popping by if you can. If you have never been to Broadway Market, I couldn’t recommend it more.
