Carmelite Cafe, attached to the Nunnery (a contemporary art gallery run by Bow Arts Trust), is a hidden gem just off Bow Road. In an area where great coffee is quite hard to come by, I was ecstatic when someone told me about this great little cafe.

Michael serves up Nude Espresso and adds a great deal of coffee expertise to the place. It’s a very quaint space with excellent coffee and tasty looking food on display. I had a quick look at the art on display and it was fantastic. An added bonus was that by chance I visited the cafe on one of the ‘Carmelite Cafe Christmas Saturdays‘ so there were a selection of festive plants and crafts on sell!

Drawing on his previous experience running Panoramique, Michael has created a really great coffee shop here.
